Basement Miami and Thump Offer A Little Bit of Everything for Miami Music Week
With less than one week until Miami Music Week officially kicks off, Basement Miami at The Miami Beach EDITION has announced its dynamic lineup for this year’s festivities, featuring a wide arrangement of sounds for all kinds of music lovers. Basement Miami has teamed up with THUMP as their official media partner, which will be chronicling the music, artists, fans and experience throughout the week. Nicolas Matar, Basement Miami’s Partner, has curated this year’s star-studded lineup, stacked with the top-notch talent in a variety of music genres.
On Tuesday, March 24, come get your disco fix as Hot Creations label head Jamie Jones headlines the show and Lee Foss throws down an exclusive disco set. Tickets are only a measly $30 plus fees right now on Resident Advisor.
For purveyors of techno and more high-energy dance music, enjoy the Sci +Tec showcase on Wednedsay, March 25, with label boss Dubfire alongside his cohorts Paul Ritch (live), Carlo Lio, Shaded (live), STIV HEY and a very special guest. Tickets are a very reasonable $30 plus fees on RA.
Pay your respects to the godfather of house music, Frankie Knuckles, at the Tribute party on Thursday, March 26 with David Morales, Hector Romero and Quentin Harris who have a new single out on Def Mix called ”The XPerience.” Get tickets on RA for $30 plus fees.
Most dance music lovers won’t tire on techno, but for those whom need a break from the beats, consider checking out Basement on Friday, March 27. For lovers of hip-hop, soul, funk, and beyond- come get down to Roots drummer Questlove alongside DZA for a night full of dope sounds. Tickets are only $20 plus fees right now!
On Saturday, March 28, Resident Advisor takes over Basement Miami with Art Department, Dennis Ferrer and Jimmy Edgar, a perfect trifecta of house music talent that is a lineup forced to be reckoned with. This will be Resident Advisor’s first Miami party in 5 years so you know it will be a good show. Plus, it’s Jimmy Edgar’s sole appearance at Miami Music Week. Tickets are $30, a total steal with that lineup.
Rounding out the week-long festivities on Sunday, March 29, is a Disco, Funk and Soul event featuring a very special guest who has not been announced yet. We can only hope it turns out to be this guy.
