BPM 2014: Our Dream Schedule

One of North America’s most exciting annual festivals, BPM, is about to take over Playa del Carmen for its sixth year of amazing techno and house. For 9 days, the worldwide underground community descends on one of the most beautiful landscapes called home by a festival. This year’s lineup of parties is especially diverse and exciting. Friday, January 3rd

DAY PARTY: My Favorite Robot Presents Crossing Wires Beach Party
LINEUP: My Favorite Robot, Timo Maas, Fairmont, Jonny Cruz, Stephan Z
LOCATION: Fusion Beach Club
WHY:
MFR was a force to be reckoned with in 2013, and shows no sign of slowing down. Start the festival off right with some irresistible house music from innovative artists.

NIGHT PARTY: BPitch Control Showcase
LINEUP: Ellen Allien, Camea B2B Kiki, Butane, Konrad Black, Chaim (Live)
LOCATION: Coco Maya Beach Club
WHY:
BPitch Control is pseudonymous with the Berlin underground, and Ellen Allien is the queen of the scene. Check out the unique stylings of some of the label’s best and brightest

 

Saturday, January 4th

DAY PARTY: All Day I Dream
LINEUP: Lee Burridge vs. Matthew Dekay, Luca Bacchetti, Essáy, Mike Khoury
LOCATION: Mamitas
WHY:
Lee Burridge’s own All Day I Dream has made quite the impression on New York City, and will certainly make one on Playa del Carmen. Nothing like starting the day with some nice deep tracks.

NIGHT PARTY: Bromance Records Showcase
LINEUP: Brodinski, Louisahhh!!!, Sam Tiba, MYD
LOCATION: Lost Avenue
WHY:
There’s one word that sums up Bromance: FUN. Get down with your bad self!

 

Sunday, January 5th

DAY PARTY: Stereo Productions
LINEUP: Chus + Ceballos, Christian Smith, Rafa Barrios, Arjun Vagale, Patrick M, Richie Santana, Peter Bailey, ALX

WHY:
There’s just something about Sunday sunsets that go so well with tech house. Enjoy some of the best right here.

NIGHT PARTY: Richie Hawtin Presents ENTER. Playa del Carmen
LINEUP: Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer B2B Ida Engberg, Gaiser, Dense & Pika (Live), Bella Sarris

WHY:
We would never recommend skipping a night curated by the one and only Richie. Let the sound overtake you completely.

 

Monday, January 6th

WHY:
The deep sounds of this crew will certainly resonate well in a beach setting. It’s a great fit for a mid-festival get down.

LINEUP: Rhadoo, Raresh, Behrouz, Cezar, Antonio Piacquadio
LOCATION: Tabu Night Club
WHY:
A bunch of our friends said Rhadoo was the set to beat at last year’s BPM, and our friends know what’s up. Go see for yourself.

 

Wednesday, January 8th

WHY:
Luciano’s tantalizing breed of tribal-infused house music is not to be missed this BPM. Let the Cadenza crew carry you through another night in paradise.

Some of South America’s finest artists come together for an epic romp in the sand. Who could ask for more?

WHY:
There’s a reason that Ovum has been around for 20 years: their special strain of house music ignites dance floors instantaneously. This is one of their most eclectic lineups, making this party a truly memorable experience.

WHY:
Swedish techno label Drumcode is known for their dark and melodic ways and it would be a delight to be woken up by Beyer and his crew.

NIGHT PARTY: Superfreq
LINEUP: Stacey Pullen, Mr. C, Xo Chic, David Scuba
LOCATION: Tabu Night Club
WHY:
This party will certainly be a Saturday night to remember. The energetic house stylings of the Superfreq crew make a great spot to spend the second to last night of BPM.

 

Sunday, January 12th

DAY PARTY: Yoshitoshi
LINEUP: Sharam, Andhim, Pirupa B2B Leon, Omar Labastida
LOCATION: Kool Beach
WHY:
Celebrate the final day of BPM with a party curated by house superstars Deep Dish’s label Yoshitoshi, including one of the iconic duo, Sharam.
