4 Reasons We’re Stoked for Further Future Festival
These days, music festivals are popping up like weeds in every direction. It’s becoming harder and harder for fans to choose between them all, and several needs must be met before adding events to their musts lists – is the lineup killer? the atmosphere outstanding? the location excellent? As soon as Further Future popped up on our radar, it became clear that they check all the boxes and then some. FF is here to disrupt norms and elegantly break rules to deliver a world-class experience like no other this spring. Read on to find out some of the top reasons to choose this event over the plethora of others.
- The Location
“Beyond Las Vegas” in a gorgeous chunk of the Moapa River Reservation in the desert sounds like the ideal location for a forward-thinking festival such as this. No city lights, nosy neighbors, or technological distractions will be present here. The event also makes a point to keep the grounds sustainable and environmentally responsible meaning we can all sleep easier knowing we’re actually benefiting the land instead of harming it. The end-of-spring weather (April 29th-May 1st, mark your calendar stat) should also be perfect for this gathering. We can’t wait to escape to this remote oasis, filled with art, like-minded fans, and of course, some of the best acts in electronic music and beyond.
- The Accommodations
FF recently released their accommodation options that are nothing short of awesome. Choosing whether to stay desert-side or strip-side has never been harder! Futurists can choose to self-camp, bring an RV, boutique camp with plenty of amenities (with ‘classes’ ranging from $850 for a 2-person fest pod to $7,500 for a 4-person Lunar Palace), or take a daily shuttle to and from Vegas landmarks such as the airport and Hard Rock Hotel. Check out all the options here.
- The Food
We’ve heard rumors of some of the fantastic “pop up” dinners served at FF001 (champagne and caviar? Yes please!) and the food deck is stacked for FF002. Vegas-based food expert Jolene Mannina is this edition’s Food & Beverage Director and brings her experience at famed restaurants such as Commanders Palace and N9Ne Steakhouse along with culinary direction of Life is Beautiful Festival to the mix. Say goodbye to dirty festie food and hello to gourmet!
- The Lineup
From international all-stars to ones to watch, hip-hop to experimental and everything in between, the FF002 lineup is not one to sleep on. Catch UK legends Leftfield for their second stateside show in 15 years, reggae supergroup Easy Star All-Stars, Chicago house legend Derrick Carter, techno heavy-hitters Voices From the Lake, and tons more, in the dusty landscape. There isn’t a name on the list we didn’t get the warm and fuzzies over. Simply put, this is music for people who appreciate music. And we couldn’t be more excited.
