Interview: andhim Brings the Flying Sausage to North America

Interview: andhim Brings the Flying Sausage to North America

Not to be confused with bratwursts or frankfurters, these juicy German sausages, better known as the “superhouse” duo andhim, are bringing their uplifting dance beats and all-around silliness to North America. If you don’t believe us, check out the hilarious video and interview below:

RP: Hi Tobias and Simon, how was your summer?
andhim:
Really hot! We started to work on our bikini bodies quite early this year, so we were perfectly prepared for all the fantastic shows. Tobias got the yellow belt in Judo as well.

One of the highlights had to be PleinVrees Heroes, where you guys had your own stage, the SuperFriends Stage. Tell us about that experience and how you chose the lineup.
The stage and the whole day in Amsterdam was just amazing. We were super stoked to host such a big stage and are very thankful to the guys from Pleinvrees and that they gave us the chance to do this. We had artists like Guy Gerber, Monkey Safari and Oliver Koletzki play for us. Most of the guys we’re close friends so that was pretty easy. Check out our after movie to get an idea of what it was like:

You guys are very active on social media provide a much-needed source of comedic relief. Tell us about the creative process.
Generally we like to spend a couple of weeks in our individual think tanks. This is followed by a week, or two on an abandoned desert island and finally we end things with a shot of tequila.

What can andhim fans look forward to on your upcoming North American Tour?
More erotica, bigger biceps, and longer beards.

Germany just celebrated Oktoberfest this past weekend and it looks amazing! We read in another interview that you guys have actually played at Oktoberfest. Can you tell us a little bit more about that gig and what it was like to play there?
Haha, we never actually played there. In fact, we think nobody would like to hear us playing there. It is more about the German folk songs and Bavarian live bands.

What’s on deck for the rest of 2015? Any upcoming releases we can share with our readers?
We will be non-stop touring until November across North and South America and making a short stop at ADE for some lovely shows. After that we will finally return to the studio to work on new tracks. Mostly love songs!

Thank you for your time!
Thank you for being so cute!
