Party Buzz: Sage Armstrong Makes Detroit Debut
Tonight Metro-Detroit’s hottest dance music venue is in for a rare treat. Mos Gyegst co-founder and dancefloor whisperer Sage Armstrong will be headlining Country Club Disco’s can’t-miss night at Grasshopper Underground.
Warming things up are Country Club Disco solders Doug English and Ross Regs. Doug just put out a funked up bass-heavy remix of Nytron & Jean Bacarreza’s “Love & Money” on Monotonik Records. Putting these guys in the same room drives some killer productions as well as DJ sets. Every time we see them on the decks at GHop, we know they are going to set the headliner up with just the right amount of energy and finesse.
Based out of Orlando, Florida, headliner Sage Armstrong has created his own style by adding unique elements to his productions that blend bouncy underground basslines with vocals. His ability to craft bass-driven tracks that range from melodic house to breaks is unique and special. He strives to make music that defies creative boundaries and is successful in this endeavor, as is evident from his support from Dirtybird artists like Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke. We are exceptionally lucky to get to see this young stud play in such an intimate setting before he blows up.
